Welcome to SPECTRA INTERNATIONAL
Fighting HIV/AIDS,  Abuse & Poverty

We have begun to actively seek the views of people living with HIV AIDS, abused children and women. At a recent workshop… many abused children and women  psychologically disturbed and other with HIV AIDS and disabilities expressed their dreams and ambitions.

We have experienced an on-going tension between our dual approaches of advocacy and development. We have  also experienced a continuous struggle against sliding into service provision because of the pressure of needs at grass-root levels.

Spectra International was established in 2010 by Joel M Issumo, Director of Joelrim Group of Companies.

Spectra is a campaigning organization, which helps to raise the level of awareness of HIV AIDS spreading, child and woman abuse as well as poverty in South Africa. Spectra International aims to ensure equal opportunities for people living with HIV/AIDS, Women and children abuse (especially in education) and poverty.

HOW WILL SPECTRA INTERNATIONAL DEVELOP ?

Spectra operates in eight provinces of South Africa and is in the process of mobilizing a ninth. Each local group elects its own officers and determines its own priorities and methods. So there are considerable differences locally and regionally. Our strength comes from members coming together to share experiences and deciding on joint strategies. The organization provides knowledge about people living with HIV/AIDS,  women and children victims of abuse of their rights and supports education by providing training and workshops as well as advice on how to inform people about the spreading of the pandemic and our main objectives.
